Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Eastern Railway has released the Scouts & Guides Quota Recruitment 2026-27 notification for 15 vacancies. The recruitment covers Level-1 and Level-2 posts across Eastern Railway, Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW) and Metro Railway.
The online application started on 7 August 2026 at 10:00 AM and the last date is 6 September 2026 at 6:00 PM. The written examination is tentatively scheduled for the second week of November 2026.

Candidates can apply for Level-1, Level-2, or both categories. Separate applications and fees are required when applying for both.
Important Eligibility / Requirements
- The recruitment is specifically under the Scouts & Guides Quota.
- Candidates must have the required educational qualification for the selected level.
- A recognized Scouts & Guides qualification is mandatory.
- Candidates must have been active members of a Scout Organization for the required period.
- The prescribed National/All India Railway and State-level event participation is also required.
- Candidates without the required Scouts & Guides qualification are not eligible.

For the Scouts & Guides qualification, candidates must have President Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger status or Himalayan Wood Badge, along with 5 years of active membership and participation in the specified National/All India Railway and State-level events.

Selection Process
The selection will be conducted in stages:
- Stage 1: Written Test – 60 marks
- Stage 2: Marks for Scouts & Guides certificates – 40 marks
- Stage 3: Medical Examination
The written test will contain objective questions and an essay related to Scouts & Guides and General Knowledge. Candidates must secure the prescribed qualifying marks to move ahead in the selection process.
