Integral Coach Factory (ICF), Chennai has announced recruitment for 782 Act Apprentice vacancies under the Apprentices Act, 1961. The recruitment is for both Freshers and Ex-ITI candidates in different trades.
The recruitment is being conducted under Notification No. APP/01/2026-27. Candidates should note that this is apprenticeship training and does not provide permanent employment in ICF.

Important Eligibility / Requirements
- Freshers generally require 10th Pass with at least 50% marks.
- Ex-ITI candidates require 10th Pass with 50% marks along with the relevant ITI qualification.
- MLT candidates require the prescribed 12th qualification with Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
- Candidates holding Engineering Degree/Diploma qualifications are not eligible.
- Candidates who have already completed apprenticeship training are not eligible.
- Preference is given to eligible candidates from Tamil Nadu as prescribed in the recruitment conditions.

Salary / Stipend
This is an apprenticeship engagement, so selected candidates receive a monthly stipend instead of a regular Railway salary.

Selection Process
There is no written examination for the apprentice selection.
- Selection is based on merit prepared from the qualifying examination marks.
